American Line Builders has safety rules which are in conjunction with all the Local Unions we cover throughout our jurisdiction. Safety Rules were first created in partnership with the IBEW and NECA in the past when safety wasn’t at the forefront of the industry as it is today. As time has gone on, most of our contractors and utility customers have developed their own safety rules. In most cases, these rules were more stringent than those originally created.
Today, many of these rules are outdated and haven’t been updated as Local Unions and Contractors rely on those rules set forth by customers or contractors. If however no safety rules are established you should resort back to these original safety rules. Below you will find the most current safety rules for each Local Union/agreement for your reference. If you have questions, please contact the American Line Builders office for assistance.
